Bikash Mohanty (Managing Partner)
Mr. Mohanty brings over 25 years of extensive litigation experience across various courts and tribunals in India, including regular appearances before the Supreme Court of India. His practice is marked by deep expertise in handling complex and high- stakes disputes across jurisdictions.
He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and a permanent member of the India International Centre, reflecting his standing within the legal fraternity.
Mr. Mohanty has had the privilege of working closely with Late Soli J. Sorabjee, Senior Advocate and former Attorney General for India, in many landmark matters, and particularly in relation to the Civil Liability for Nuclear Damage Bill, a significant legislative development enacted by the Indian Parliament. His involvement in this domain further extended internationally, where in 2013 he was invited by the National Diet of Japan to present his views on the comparative analysis of supplier liability in the context of nuclear damage.
In the early years of his career, Mr. Mohanty gained valuable experience working with leading law firms such as J.B. Dadachanji & Co. (now known as Global Legal Associates), Khaitan & Co., and Kapoor & Associates. He has also served as a litigator for DLF Limited, one of India’s premier real estate developers, handling diverse matters across all forums throughout the country.
He is presently empanelled as a counsel for the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, an undertaking of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, along with NBCC, ITI Limited, Oil India Limited, IIFCL, DFCCIL, NSIL and Steel Authority of India Limited. Additionally, he has been engaged as Special Counsel for the Orissa Water Supply and Sewerage Board, representing the Board in matters before courts in Delhi and Haryana.
Mr. Mohanty’s diverse experience, spanning constitutional, commercial, infrastructure, and regulatory litigation, coupled with his exposure to policy-level issues, positions him uniquely to lead and execute large-scale litigation management and resolution mandates.
